About Pamela Hochstetter

Pamela is a life-long practicing artist, facilitator and spiritual
guide.
She holds a Master of Divinity degree from Yale University and a Bachelor
of Science degree in art and education – summa cum laude – from
Western Connecticut State University. She trained with veteran art therapist,
Jane Gross, MA, LCSW, in Process Painting.
Her preparation at Yale enables her to integrate work regarding a person’s
spirituality or religious exploration. She provides a pastoral style of assistance
to her clients.
Hochstetter has studied at Pratt Institute, Maryland College of Art and Design,
Greenwich House Pottery and Brookfield Craft Center as well.
She created and ran three art-related businesses from 1980–2001.
Added to her resume was her struggle with life-threatening illness during
the mid-nineties. Compassion for others’ suffering – in all its
manifestations – is one of the unexpected gifts she received from that
time. As a highly motivated patient she acquired direct experience and understanding
of many alternative/complementary therapies as well.
Presently, when she is not facilitating process painting, you may find her
in her studio working with paint, pastels, metal, clay – anything she
can get her eager hands on.
