What is InnerArt?

InnerArt is an art-centered approach to accessing your innate intuitive wisdom. No art experience is necessary to embark upon this path. An openness to experiencing new growth and revitalization is recommended.

Most of us spend the balance of our time in a firmly fixed mindset. We let busy demands prevent us from taking time to reflect on what is stirring inside. Preoccupation with meeting our basic needs drives much of our activity.

InnerArt is a way to get back in touch with the infinite wellspring of intuitive wisdom that resides within each of us. Through the setting apart of time and intention, and taking up simple art materials and a notebook, we can create an open environment to engage the deeper knowing within. The simple set of tools you will learn about during an InnerArt adventure can be utilized later with ease and little expense.

Operating from your inner wisdom can reap valuable results in your life. Decisions are best informed from a new level of perception. Work is revitalized, relationships energized, finances handled with clarity, pleasures enhanced, and spirituality renewed.

What does an InnerArt session look like?

Each InnerArt session takes place in a judgment-free zone. All judgment is prohibited—even your own. Gentle, consistent coaxing is exercised to quiet the voices of that loud intrusive chorus we are all too accustomed to. Quieting that frees us to hear the uncensored guidance we need to order our lives and work well.

Dialogue, simple breathing meditation, painting, and unrehearsed written reflection comprise a typical InnerArt event.

The paint used in initial work is water-based non-toxic tempera. Participants work on large sheets of paper with wide strokes. If a group continues over time, additional art materials are added in, i.e. oil pastels, collage, and clay.

Individual and group reflections are part of the process. The group dynamic is facilitated within carefully constructed guidelines. No cross-talk, not even well-meaning compliments are permitted, and of course no judgment whatsoever.

Why consider InnerArt?

To revitalize static or stale situations in individuals and groups.

To enhance performance both on and off the job. The expansive sense of freedom and energy stimulated in this work spills over into all the arenas of one’s life.

To grow in the ability to view “things” from a variety of different perspectives.  Definitely stimulates thinking “outside of the box.”

To inspire clarity of thought, speech and action. When we are in touch with our intuitive wisdom, all that we do can be done with strength and confidence.

To heal emotional, physical, and spiritual wounds. This gentle yet powerful process is exceptionally effective in supporting healing.

To connect in a beautifully direct way with a Higher Order of life. Realizing a harmonious relationship with all the elements that comprise one’s experience.

To experience the joy of undiscovered or under-estimated creativity! Yes, we are all creative. The discarding of old notions and messages received along the way.
